Nibrasul
アバウト Nibrasul
Through Dreamunteers, Nibrasul has created a platform for communities to come up with their solutions for building sustainable and self-reliant environments
Being part of the Bangladesh Scouts since third grade, Nibrasul had the opportunity to visit many rural communities in Bangladesh. It is through this experience that he understood the lives of those living in rural areas. He discovered that a lot of people living in rural communities migrate to urban areas in search of work since they are unable to generate enough income in their own communities for their families. To address this divide in economic access and to promote rural development, Nibrasul co-founded Dreamunteers with a core team of 18 to lift up communities so they are able to design innovative solutions for their everyday challenges. By mapping out the challenges faced by villagers, assessing the willingness of a community to adapt, involving local leaders, and then creating a project plan, Nibrasul’s team set the foundation for community development. Currently, the venture is working in 4 communities and have provided primary education to 120+ children, thereby increasing the literacy rate of these communities. Encouraging a culture of changemaking locally, these communities now also have access to clean drinking water and toilets.
Nibrasul was elected as Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Ashoka Young Changemaker in honour of Late Sir Abed and the key leadership role played by BRAC in creating the Everyone A Changemaker world.
