Mental Health Collaboration Webinar: A Dive into Art Therapy
Art Therapy is a behavioral therapy that can be practiced independently or as a complement to drug therapy. It involves outpatient sessions, which are more patient-friendly and less stigmatizing than traditional hospital-based approaches. Art therapists collaborate with psychologists, therapists, educators, and specialists from the cultural and artistic realms to provide this form of therapy.
This Mental Health Collaboration’s webinar will include a quick introduction to understanding the tenets of Art Therapy and its positive impact on mental health. It will be followed by a look into the effects of Art Therapy among two student populations concerned with suicidality and drug and alcohol dependency.
