Apnavi started her initiative Talking Pages in 2021 aiming to give safe space to young people to express their emotions through performing arts.
Apnavi founded Talking Pages at 15 to introduce performing arts to children aiming to build a safe environment where they can come together to express emotions, expand their imagination and explore ways to become mentally and emotionally fit. Apnavi has partnered with theater artists, musicians and clinical psychologists to help young people develop their own, unique voice through arts. She works with children and young people across schools, communities, citizen sector organizations situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the North-western state of India.
Apnavi has witnessed through her work that performing arts offer children a safe environment to express or reflect on difficult emotions. Through music, they release their emotions in a way that is helpful for managing mental health. Talking Pages has successfully organizes thought provoking sessions with experts, open mic and other forums to express openly. She has been recognized by leading national English news platform, NDTV under the Banega Swasth India (Making India Healthy) campaign as one of the four young women who are empowering their community to bring change. Talking Pages has touched thousands of school students and youth of Jaipur to build a happy space for themselves. Apnavi believes mental and emotional well-being is work in progress and one needs to continuously work towards it.
