Riya K

After attending a school science fair, Riya was amazed by her peer’s ability to critically solve problems that affect their community, but was frustrated that many of these ideas go unseen and unheard. Riya then thought about students from lower income schools, realizing any layer of barriers that prevent opportunities and encouragement for young people to be entrepreneurial and innovative.  

Eager to democratize access to entrepreneurial education for Gen Z, Riya co-developed a social impact incubator called Waave. The platform provides mentors, resources, funding, and partnerships to help teens launch their own ventures. Ambitiously, her team believes through a combination of conversation, collaboration, and connection, Wavve can accelerate youth-driven solutions to social problems.
