Cecy is working to bring equity to education systems in the US beyond in-school curricula. The School of Life helps high school students to attain a broad understanding of their capabilities and potential, providing life experiences that they otherwise wouldn’t have access to, seminars on self-improvement, motivational speakers, and support for changemaking projects. Through her work, students grow a stronger connection to the real world and establish a stronger sense of self - including confidence, self-assuredness, and knowledge about themselves. Cecy has also pioneered work in teaching professional skills to students from disadvantaged communities in the US.
