Ahona

Ahona founded ‘One Action Foundation’ with a team of 20 people, where they are working on 3 issues - climate change, education, and gender inequality. Ahona recognized the intersectionality of social issues and addresses these issues through campaigns, workshops and trainings. They have conducted several “Anti-Smoking Campaigns” through whcih they collected over 50 kgs of cigarette butts and upcycled the waste into new goods while involving a group of women who are traditionally marginalized in the artisan process. They have also conducted self-defence trainings with 30 girls followed by a panel discussion on topics considered taboo.

Ahona was elected as Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Ashoka Young Changemaker in honour of Late Sir Abed and the key leadership role played by BRAC in creating the Everyone A Changemaker world.
