Rob Hopkins and a Farm for the Future

Ashoka Fellow Rob Hopkins (United Kingdom, elected 2009) is the co-founder of Transition Town Totnes and of the Transition Network.  Last year, Rob wrote a story about the BBC documentary Natural World: A Farm for the Future.  The film documents filmmaker Rebecca Hosking's attempt to transform her family's farm in Devon into a low energy farm for the future.  With the help of pioneering farmers and growers, Rebecca explores ways of farming without using fossil fuel.  Read Rob's story, and watch the video here.
