Itrin lives in a remote Indonesian island of Sumba, where gang violence and religious conflicts are very near and rampant, while books and school supplies seem too far to get. Itrin wanted to break this systemic condition in her community by creating a community that embrace differences and encourage young people to create positive impact. Komunitas Pitagoras invited members to propose issues to work on and organize around the solutions. They focus on three main themes; education, environment, and tolerance. Itrin started with four friends, and now they are 15. In their education front, Komunitas Pitagoras managed to gather donation of school supplies and distribute them to schools at faraway villages.
