Come learn how a group of high school students in Germany built a learning platform that is now used by 1.5 million students every month – and that is being integrated into the national education system.
Back in 2009, Fellow Simon Kohl and friends knew they wanted a different school experience. Inspired by Wikipedia, they built the collaborative learning platform, now owned and led by a non-profit collective whose members – teachers, students, contributors – are committed to keeping it safe, free to users, and free from advertising.
On Oct. 12, Simon will tell us about the platform and what happens when young people lead – in conversation with Sascha Haselmayer, another Berlin-based Ashoka Fellow. The conversation will be in English and will run about 30 minutes. Bring your questions!
