Ashoka Changemaker Forum
[Seats are fully booked. No further registrations. Do follow us on our Facebook page for further details about the event.]
Celebrating the first-ever Ashoka Fellows election in Malaysia and Singapore, the inaugural Ashoka Changemaker Forum will mobilise and convene change leaders from across the impact space. It will also drive and promote dialogue that surfaces the skills and perspectives essential to a social entrepreneur. These skills and perspectives have repeatedly been recognised as a crucial part of the strategy in overcoming the challenges of the 21st century. [1,2,3] Change leaders from different sectors such as education, technology, banking, foundations will gather at National University of Singapore Business School on August 28th to further explore the relevance of a social entrepreneur's skills and perspectives.
The Forum will provide a unique space to re-imagine system-changing social innovations via the lenses of social entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs from various companies and organisations. Through thought leadership on social innovations, sharing of best practices from newly elected Fellows, and networking, we hope to connect change leaders and to create a supportive community of partnerships centred around crafting leadership and institutional practices that adapt to the Digital Age.
Once a person has had a dream, built a team, and change his or her world, he or she has the power to express love and respect in action--the heart of what brings health, longevity, and happiness. He or she will be a changemaker for life...a real contributor in a world where value increasingly comes from changemaking and not, as it as for millennia, from efficiency in repetition.
