Saawan is the founder of LiteratureDiversified a youth-led and youth-founded NGO advocating for racial equity through diversifying educational curricula, combating Eurocentric education in schools, and through working to solve America's racial disparities centering around education.
LiteratureDiversified develops original curricula and DEI resources to be implemented for free in partner classrooms across the United States. Saawan and his team create lesson plans and modules for History, English, and Social Science curricula. The sources used in their lesson plans tell the narratives and stories of marginalized groups throughout history. They also create professional programs, including a financial literacy curriculum with a focus of fostering financial literacy amongst POC and low-income students.
