During the COVID-19 pandemic Alisha reflected on the cyber-bullying she had experienced in high school and decided that she wanted to create a space for young people to share experiences, have open conversations, and empower each other through social media. It was during this that Alisha came across an organization called Humanity Rising that is focused on supporting young individuals who are passionate to change the world. With the help of Humanity Rising, Alisha created "What Cause Inspires You?", a podcast that works to tell young peoples' stories and amplify their voices as well as encourage youth to get involved in social issues that are important to them. With the help of her team, Alisha has expanded her podcast, and her initiative has grown to include scholarships and professional opportunities for young changemakers. She plans to continue to grow her platform and offer a place for young changemakers to follow their passions and gain confidence in a community of other young people.
