Taking the Slow Lane
An Ashoka event in Switzerland bringing together social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and business leaders to explore real transformation through escaping the speed trap and embracing the profound impact of the Slow Lane.
Centred around Sascha Haselmayer's book, this event brought together innovative social entrepreneurs, business leaders and philanthropists. We heard from incredible speakers discussing what it means to 'hold the urgency, listen, share agency, nurture curiosity, and use technology as an enabler' to address some of the world's most pressing issues.
In the panel discussion, Sonja Betschart - a Forbes 50 over 50 social entrepreneur - shared insights on the role of trust in empowering local experts and the importance of qualitative KPIs and storytelling in measuring mindset shifts at WeRobotics.
Alain Nicod - entrepreneur and investor - emphasised the importance of staying calm in situations of crisis and reminded us that technology can be a force for good, as a tool in enabling positive change.
Sascha Haselmayer - author and social entrepreneur - highlighted the story of Ashoka Fellow Rosanne Haggerty in her incredible work to end homelessness in the US, underscoring the need for mindset shifts in solving complex problems.
We are so thankful for the phenomenal individuals who joined us, the help of our Zwei Wealth partners, and our social entrepreneurs and Ashoka Network Supporters!
