Google is a company that believes deeply in entrepreneurship. And this is a company that believes deeply in the power of information. We don’t think there’s another organization that combines these two things in a more compelling way than Ashoka.

The two organizations will launch their partnership October 5-7, in Singapore at the Asia Society’s Young Leaders Summit. 200 of Asia’s most dynamic and innovative young leaders under the age of 40 will gather to build collaborative approaches to current political, economic, and social challenges facing Asia. The summit will open with a session on social entrepreneurship, which will feature Ashoka Fellows from India, Indonesia, and Nepal discussing their innovative approaches to solving critical social problems.
The partnership aims to educate business leaders in Asia and the United States about the value of social entrepreneurship initiatives across both continents. Through connecting business entrepreneurs with social entrepreneurs, the partnership will foster opportunities for learning, collaboration and support across sectors.
“The Asia Society’s dedication to fostering leadership presents Ashoka with a valuable partnership opportunity for advancing change in Asia,” said Bill Drayton, Founder and CEO of Ashoka. “The partnership will harness the potential of Asia’s pioneering social entrepreneurs and brilliant business entrepreneur partners to collaborate in ways far beyond what either could do alone.”
“We are delighted to be partnering with Ashoka to help educate the next generation of leaders from across the Asia-Pacific region on the importance of values-based leadership, public service and social entrepreneurship,” said Asia Society Executive Vice President Jamie Metzl. “Ashoka’s tremendous track record in supporting social entrepreneurs will be an incredible asset to the Asia 21 Initiative as a whole.”
